Find financial support

One of the objectives of COWIN is to bridge the gap between R&D results and financial needs for further technological developments and for commercialisation of Miniaturised Smart Systems.

COWIN procures a mapping of European Initiatives (to download) providing or facilitating public financement of R&D (Frameworkprogramme, ERA-NET schemes, European technology Platforms, European Clusters initiatives, ...) but also a link and support in approaching private financing.

The full Report & Mapping of European initiatives to finance R&D projects in Smart Systems is now available in the Download section

Actually the European Commission started to pay attention to the area of Microsystems already during the 4th Framework Programme (1994-1998). Since then, the focus of the R&D activities in Microsystems has grown from Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and Micro-Opto-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MOEMS) and their applications towards the notions of Microsystems and Smart Systems Integration. In the present frameworkprogramme (FP7) a programme is dedicated to the funding of these technologies.
