Cowin Tutorial

A successful proposal for a European project requires a relevant topic (EPoSS Annual Forum), the right partners (EPoSS community), a suitable call (EPoSS Proposers’ Day), but shall also present a common strategy among the partners to exploit the results of their research.
A good proposal is not enough, you need a better proposal to be funded from FP7 for your R&D work.

There are several factors which may limit the impact or commercial exploitation of finished RTD projects. These can be obstacles of very different nature, like conflict of interest among the partners involved in the RTD project, lack of funds to industrialize the prototypes, IPR management, market evolution or development of alternative technologies. The session will review the most frequent risks or obstacles and will provide some methodological approaches on how to address and mitigate (when possible) those exploitation barriers.

Francisco de Aristegui, Area Director of Innovation by Zabala Innovation Consulting gave useful advices to 50 participants and answered to numerous questions which can be found on the COWIN forum.

Please find the presentation of the tutorial here.
